Class Representatives
Class Representatives play a vital role in the alumni community. They are crucial in helping class members stay connected with each other and with Ballou SHS. Requirements and a list of responsibilities are listed below:​

Willingness to collaborate with and support the goals of the BAA
​Alumni who take on this role should not view it as a lifelong job or one they handle alone. The BAA Operational Board of Directors will work closely with you to help you reach your goals for representing your class and assist in finding a replacement when you decide you can no longer serve.
​Class Representative Responsibilities
​Engage and communicate with classmates to foster class unity and build a connection to BAA.

Participate in most scheduled quarterly committee meetings either in person, via conference call, or using other meeting tools.

Assist with alumni activities happening in your local community.

Encourage your classmates to keep their contact information current. This can be done online. It is essential to receive updates from the alumni association.

Work to promote communication and motivate fellow alumni to attend alumni and school events.

Provide the Committee Chair with relevant information about fellow alumni, such as marriages, births, graduations, promotions, deaths, etc. Encourage classmates to share their news.

Assist BAA and the school administration in identifying, cultivating, and engaging alumni in areas such as student recruitment, Career Day, internship placement, regional reception hosts, financial support, and committee volunteer support.

Organize a class reunion or set a goal to establish a reunion planning committee every 5 years. We request that you work with the BAA committees when planning a class reunion by managing registrations through the BAA website and helping to raise funds as a reunion class gift to the Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Engage fellow alumni via social media, such as creating or moderating a Class Facebook page.

Represent your class concerning decisions made by the BAA Operational Board of Directors.

Act as a school ambassador to help boost BALLOU's visibility.

Their efforts are why classmates remain engaged and connected to Ballou.
