Make a Difference — Volunteer with BAA

BAA's committee structure gives registered alumni a way to serve our school, current students, staff, graduates, and wider community. Membership is FREE. Committee chairs and assignments will be announced as they are confirmed.

Four Required Standing Committees

Scholarship Awards & Recognitions — Supports scholarship and recognition processes, student and alumni awards, and recommendations to the Board under adopted policies.

Student Activities — Coordinates appropriate alumni assistance with school programs, student activities, mentoring, Career Day, and educational support.

Membership — Encourages free alumni registration, welcomes members, supports class-year connections, recruitment, and member engagement.

Communications & Social Media — Supports approved website content, alumni announcements, newsletters, social media, and consistent branding.

Under BAA's adopted bylaws, each standing committee is chaired by an elected Operational Board member and has at least three BAA members in good standing. The Board retains its decision-making authority. Committee chairs are not yet assigned for website publication.

Special Projects and Support Teams

Subject to appropriate authorization, BAA also coordinates programs in fundraising and corporate partnerships, events and hospitality, Homecoming, historical preservation, alumni athletics and arts, facilities support, and volunteer coordination. These projects do not automatically constitute additional standing committees or independent authorities. History and museum support operates with the Official Historian structure; memorial and Eternal Knights coordination follows the applicable Chaplain and historian responsibilities.

BAA welcomes collaboration with alumni groups including BAPPS, the Alumni Band, Choir, Basketball, Cheerleaders, and representatives of other school sports and clubs.

Volunteer Eligibility and Expectations

Alumni must be registered BAA members before serving as committee members. Membership is free. Former faculty and staff affiliates may help as nonvoting advisors or volunteers when authorized; affiliation does not create alumni voting or elected-office rights. Volunteers work under approved committee charters, confidentiality requirements, financial controls, and school access rules. No volunteer may commit or spend BAA funds or represent the Association without authorization.
