To the Mighty, Mighty Knights:

The Ballou Alumni Association, Inc. was officially launched on September 1, 2014, after alumni began organizing in 2013 to create a lasting organization for generations of Ballou Knights. I am proud to continue this mission of alumni unity, student support, and stewardship of Ballou's history and traditions.

BAA exists year-round to connect alumni from every class, support students and educators, encourage mentoring and career opportunities, assist with scholarships and Sponsor a Senior, celebrate our athletic and artistic traditions, and preserve the legacy of Frank W. Ballou Senior High School.

Our September 14, 2026 Constitution and Bylaws provide the framework for responsible governance and engagement. Membership is free for eligible alumni. Former faculty and staff are also invited to remain connected through a separate free, nonvoting affiliation.

No contribution of time or talent is too small. We welcome alumni to register, volunteer for committees, serve as Class Representatives, support student and school programs, and participate in our celebrations and legacy initiatives.

Together, we honor the past, support today's students, and build the future of the Ballou family.

Our Governance
The Board of Directors, also called the Operational Board, governs BAA under the adopted Constitution and Bylaws. The separate Board of Trustees supports BAA as an advisory and legacy council; being a Trustee does not by itself grant a director's vote.

Organizational Communication and Community Engagement
BAA has consistently shared information with its alumni community. Over the years, the Association has published announcements and updates through its social media platforms about its leadership, organizational structure, activities, accomplishments, and plans.

More recently, BAA has shared information about organizational restructuring, its newly adopted Constitution and Bylaws, its free alumni membership registration drive, and opportunities for alumni to become actively involved.

BAA’s work extends beyond social media. We continue building relationships with Ballou administrators, teachers, staff, students, alumni, and community partners to identify needs and develop initiatives that benefit the school and the Knight family.

Our areas of focus include scholarships, student assistance, mentoring, academic and extracurricular programs, athletics, music, alumni engagement, community outreach, and preserving Ballou’s history.

We encourage alumni to review the Association’s past announcements, stay informed, register as members at no charge, and help carry its mission forward.
